Rachel Levitt – owner and lead choreographer Rachel Levitt is a Toronto based dance teacher and choreographer whose career has taken her across Canada, USA and UK. She discovered her passion for choreography while working at the highly acclaimed summer intensive Stagedoor Manor. During her first season with them, she was the assistant choreographer for three musicals – Leap of Faith, Seussical and All Shook Up – all of which featured a minimum of two full-length pieces she created. Since starting Dance : Corps, she has produced the short dance film Dancing in a Time of Quarantine for Convergence Theatre’s The Covid Commissions, two online performances (Another Day in COVID-19 Land and Our Stories), Counting Blessings for Grey Area Collective’s Art in Isolation, and “Normal People” which will make it’s live debut at the Window of Opportunity Festival in 2021. As a teacher she has taught at Inspire Ballet and Dance (UK), Stagedoor Manor (USA), Rhythm Dance Studio (Toronto), Stagecoach (Mississauga), Attitudes Master Class (Markham) and more. Avery Dupuis – guest choreographer Avery is a graduate of the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Performance credits include Cabaret, Crazy For You, Chess (Faculty St. Jean, Edmonton) Curtains, Trojan Women (Annex Theatre, Toronto) Naughty Cat and the Cheesy Moon, 9 to 5 (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Still Game Live 2 Bon Voyage (SSE Hydro, Glasgow). Choreography credits include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Beauty and the Beast (Stardust Academy for the Performing Arts in Amman, Jordan), music videos for singer-songwriter Hana Malhas (Amman, Jordan), The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Gros Morne Music Festival in Newfoundland, and her dance film titled HER|SELF which will premiere at the Rio Webfest. Jasmine Huang – dancer/choreographer Jasmine is a Toronto-native dancer, actor, singer, choreographer, and dance teacher. She started her dance training in ballet and Chinese dance at the age of four. By middle school, she began training in contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and jazz funk at a competitive level. She completed the Beijing Dance Academy Chinese dance examinations, receiving the highest scores in Canada for her final two examinations. She is a graduate from the Claude Watson Dance Program at Earl Haig Secondary School. Learning a variety of dance styles has allowed Jasmine to work with a broad range of companies, including BollyHeelsTO, Little Pear Garden Dance, and Canadian Ballet Theatre. She has also gone on to work with some of Toronto's top choreographers, including Hollywood Jade, Amy Wright, Lianne Tammi, Allison Bradley, Lineen Doung, and Chelsea Leaman. Known for being a passionate, hardworking, fast-learning triple-threat performer, Jasmine is merely on the cusp of her career. Nicole Decsey – dancer/choreographer Nicole Decsey is an emerging artist with a BFA in performance dance from Ryerson University. Throughout her training Nicole has worked with Proarte Danza, The Toronto Community Love-In, Alias Dance Projects, Human Body Expression, Dancemakers, Toes for Dance, Transformation Danse, Frog in Hand and Alysa Pires Dance Projects. Nicole has been a company member and rehearsal director with the physical theatre company Ismailova Theatre of Dance since 2016 and started performing with Dance : Corps Company in May of 2020. She has been fortunate to perform in the Toronto Fringe Festival, Nuit Blanche Festival and other events and venues throughout Toronto. In the past seven years Nicole has taught dance in Toronto, Mississauga, Richmond Hill and George Town. She is the artistic director of the grassroots company Nicole Decsey Dance Projects.
